Eyo Li

Miss Eyo Li started to learn music when she was 3 years old. She was the percussion player in the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals S. C. Gaw Marching Band.In 2001, Eyo became one of the members of the Hong Kong Young Musician Wind Orchestra. Since then, she made performances with HKYMWO around the world. In 2005 and 2008, Eyo attended marching percussion and color guard courses and obtained a grade 3 marching band instructor qualification in Japan. In addition, she has been learning percussion from Mr. Choy Lap Tak and percussion from Miss Sophia Woo. Furthermore, she learnt conducting with Dr. Joseph Yu. Regarding the rudimental drumming and marching music, Eyo learnt rudimental drumming with the Santa Clara Vanguard Battery Captain Mr. Murray Gusseck. Also, She is learning band management and training from the DCI judge, Mr. Steve Ulicny. She has started her teaching career since 2006 and she is teaching different school percussion ensemble, marching band and wind orchestra in Hong Kong. She is one of the founder and music director of The Pegasus Vanguard and The Pegasus Vanguard Drumline since 2010. This group aim to promote marching and drumline music in Hong Kong. She is the artist of Evans Drumheads, Percussion Accessories, Promark, PureSound Percussion (D'Addario & Company).
