Little Toolbox
The Little Toolbox Programme recruits young musicians from local primary and secondary schools every year, offering them a taste of professional training and performance.
In 2021/22, the programme consists of three modules of regular trainings and a finale showcase performance in Summer. The training is coached by percussionist Chan Tung Brian.
1st Module Training - Call for Enrolment
Percussion Foundation Training
Available for students who have never learned percussion before, or are entry-level percussion learners (6 years old or above)
Percussion Ensemble Training
Available for students who are learning percussion (ABRSM Percussion Grade 5 or similar level) and are interested in ensemble training

Each module is adjourned with a #ShareNOW interactive session where participants can share their gainings. The Music Sharing Session include participants’ performance and parent-child music interaction, enjoying the joy of making music with others.

$2,900 for new entrance (including 2021/22 Toolbox Percussion Membership Fee + Little Toolbox Concert tickets x2)

Coach Biography - Chan Tung Brian
Brian Chan is a Toolbox Percussion core artist and a recent graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK. Brian has studied with world-renowned percussionists including Paul Patrick, principal percussionist of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and Ian Wright, former principal timpanist of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. And he was awarded the Friends Scholarship in Leeds College of Music during his study. Chan has performed with various acclaimed orchestra, including the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Chamber Wind Philharmonia Orchestra. And he has toured with Toolbox Percussion under the support from Hong Kong Arts Development Council to Singapore, South Korea, and San Francisco in 2018 and 2019.
